Meet the Admin Team

Stephany
Hello everyone! I'm Stephany, also known as the author's sister #5. Before the chaos, I occasionally read self-help books and listened to music all the time, which meant I was always surrounded by noise, especially with kids around. But then chaos struck, and I rediscovered my love for fantasy books—now I'm hooked! These days, I either read or listen to books constantly. I used to focus on one book at a time, but now I find myself listening to one during the day and reading another at night. This habit has allowed me to escape from the hectic, noisy life for a mental break. It has also helped me to laugh at the small things, whereas before, I felt overwhelmed as the little things piled on top of the big ones. I love discovering new books and went from having no bookshelves to filling two as soon as they arrived in the mail!
When Sabreena invited me to join her team, I immediately said yes. Yet, part of me wondered how I would juggle my job, my kids, single motherhood, and still be an active team member. Admittedly, it can be challenging at times, but the friendships I've formed through this experience are incredible! Being on the team has taught me so much about the literary world, allowing me to link real-life experiences with the stories I read in a deeper way. It has also strengthened my bond with books, particularly this series. Additionally, it has introduced me to more people within the book community, including fellow book-loving moms, and I couldn't be happier about that!

Nikita
Hey y’all! I’m Nikita or Kita.
Before the Chaos Team, I was but a lonely soul wandering through the planes of existence without a single joyous bookish moment in the world.
But then, BAM, I saw a post on Threads advertising a fantasy book buddy read, and I thought “Why not, I need a new fantasy read to obsess over.”
So, I sent a message and answered a handful of riddles and was placed into a group.
From there everything just kind of went off without a hitch. Our buddy read group slowly grew and took on something I would never have expected. I made so many new friends and honestly, Sabreena made it so easy to make content for her books.
Before we knew it Sabreena was giving us a mission to make content and then was sending out invites for a Street Team.
Being a part of the Street Team and now the Admin Team has been so exciting. To be quite frank, I 100% am winging the whole Project Manager in the bookish realm, however if I can do it, you can too! -

My book journey was pretty slow and lonely in the beginning. I used to read a lot in high school but fell out of it when life got busier. At the start of last year, I began getting back into reading, starting with fantasy of course and read the ACOTAR series. Scrolling through the socials I spot a post from Sabreena telling us about her amazing fantasy book and a potential Buddy read for book 2. To say I was intrigued would be an understatement! It sounded amazing and right up my alley. So I did what everyone book girly does and sent it to my bestie and said “hey sign up with me, let’s see if we get it!” The anxiety was high but the excitement was even higher!! Little did I know it would end up bringing me amazing forever friends and a book community I’d happily call my family. After many months of growth within the tribunal, our dear author has reformatted the team and assigned me the task of being an admin. I honestly never thought I would be on this side of the book world! As an avid reader, it puts into perspective all the hard work that independent authors go through to pursue their dreams. I’m honored to be part of such an amazing dream team and can’t wait to see what the future holds for team Sabreena!

At one point in time, I was a simple girl. Going to work and coming home to play video games. Then one day, I decided I should start reading again and books ended up taking over my life. Little did I know that my nerdy interests would pull me to the indie author side of the algorithm where this journey began. I saw an author posting about a book and I thought to myself “Self, that author looks pretty cool and so does her book. We should check it out…..” and so I did. Now as we all have a TBR longer than a CVS receipt, it arrived and was added to the list. A part of me felt guilty as I posted a pic, tagged the author, and added the book to my shelves so I could read it when I finished the current series I was reading. A month or so passed and I hadn’t made it to that book yet when I saw the author make a post asking for ARC readers to do a buddy read of the book sitting on my shelves and we would get to read book 2! “Wow! That sounds like fun! I’ve never done something like that. Maybe I should give it a shot?” I turned the idea around my head, too afraid to fall into a mindset of “I’m a nobody, of course, she won’t pick me.” Low and behold, a message was returned to me and I was thrown into a feral dumpster filled with other book gremlins! Shock and surprise filled me. Had I truly found my people? Were they the same as me? Oh look, the Mom of the group is trying to corral us all into a cage where we can keep the outside destruction to a minimum. Little did they know, the proclivities we had for fires and shopping trips that would lead to my favorite trope of all time. Found Family.
Never did I imagine that joining something like a buddy read would turn into me meeting some of my favorite humans and forming our own family. The creativity and fun we have brings me such immense joy that I can’t even remember what life was like before I met them. The connections I’ve made and the confidence to create such amazing posts, it fills my dark heart with such joy. I found my people.

Morgan
Hello! I’m Morgan or MG. Before the Chaos Team, I was just a SAHM reading books on her kindle. One day, I decided I would make a bookstagram to share the books I was reading. I started arc reading then joined street teams and loved sharing and supporting authors. One day as I was scrolling instagram, I stumbled upon a post about Sabreena’s street team, and I thought why not she writes fantasy and romance with dark vibes and that’s my favorite genre. So I applied and was accepted! From there, I made amazing bookish friends! A position on the Admin team opened up, and it has been the best experience ever! I love it, and I love Sabreena for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to be on such an amazing team!

In 2024 when I was first beginning my business, Sabreena reached out to me for an editing project! She said she wanted to reedit Chaos Emergence and I jumped at the chance. Sabreena sounded so cool, and I loved the concept of the book! Over time, Bree and I became more than Author/Editor duo. We became friends! She was at the point where book two was trucking along and we had agreed I would also be it's editor. So while book two was being written, we decided we needed to grow the fandom and find some new readers. So she introduced me to both Devon and the rest of the crew. Together, the four of us got to work and have be able to watch Bree's hard word shine. Today, my skills are primarily help wherever when needed, but primarily I am the editor of the Chaos series! Which is something I do not take for granted in the least. I adore this position, I absolutely love Bree, and I am so grateful to be a part of this team! Editing is what I do best, and I love that I get to put my best foot forward with the Chaos series!!
(From Sabreena) She might be my editor - BUT- she is also an author now too! Check out M.M.TISH!
